How To Install Android 4.4 Kitkat AOSP ROM on HTC One M7

HTC One (M7) is the new HTC’s flagship phone for 2013, and available this month in certain countries. In the U.S. the phone will be available at top U.S. wireless carriers (including AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile) and also rumoured to be available on the Verizon network. This phone is the first phone from HTC with a full aluminium body and double front speakers (BoomSound). Besides HTC One also comes with new features such as Sense 5 with Zoe that brought your photo to life, and also Blinkfeed that makes you always updated on the social network.Android 4.4 KitKat ROMs are now available for the HTC One.All you have to Flash this ROM on your phone with the help of ClockworkMod Recovery and after that Flash the Google app package. The only feature that doesn’t work with this custom based Kitkat ROM is the IR blaster.


1. Before You Begin:

  1. HTC One M7  with Unlocked Bootloader (if bootloader is not unlocked do it from hereHTCDev)
  2. Your device must be rooted & CWM recovery installed.Click Here for Root & Recovery method.
  3. Windows-based computer or laptop.
  4. Download HTC One USB driver for Windows and install in your computer.
  5. Enable USB Debugging on your device.
  6. Make sure your phone is charged to 60%  to avoid battery blackout and interruption during this tutorial.
  7. We recommend you make a backup on your data and media files before the tutorial.

3. How To Install Android 4.4 Kitkat AOSP ROM on HTC One M7:

  • Download both file on you PC.
  • Connect your device to PC and move both files on your device.
  • Now turn off your device and boot into recovery mode.To do this Press and hold Volume Down button then press the Power button to switch on your phone and release it, but keep holding the Volume Down button. Now you HTC one will boot into Bootloader mode.
  • Now select Recovery Mode and press Power button to go in recovery mode.
  • Now you are in the CWM Recovery main menu.first Select Wipe data/Factory reset and after that Wipe cache partition.
  • Now select Install zip from sdcard > Choose zip from sdcard. Now first select the Rom zip file and install it then select the google app package and install it.
  • Once the installation process complete. Go back to CWM recovery main menu and select the reboot system now option.

First boot can take more time don’t worry….
