How To Update Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 To Lollipop

Before You Begin:

Download Required Files:

  • Download the latest nightly from here.
  • Download the GAPPs from here or here.

How To Update Your Device:

  • Follow all the steps given above for safe flashing.
  • Download all required files and move them to your device’s SD card.
  • Now boot your device into Recovery Mode, by pressing and holding Volume Up, Power Button and Home Button at the same time. Release all buttons when the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 screen flickers and in a few seconds the Recovery screen will appear.
  • Backup your current ROM from your Custom Recovery.
  • Wipe all your data, cache and dalvik cache with Recovery Mode.
  • Now navigate to your SD card, select the Custom ROM zip file and flash it.
  • After flashing Custom ROM, again navigate to your SD card, select GApps package zip file and flash it too.
  • After flashing both zip file, reboot your device.
  • First boot can take few minutes.
  • If you access root permission in CM12 Custom ROM, go to  settings>developer settings and enable it.
