Before You Begin:

  • Disable OTA update on your LG G3: Tutorial
  • Extract the firmware file as described in this guide.
  • Backup the LG G3 EFS partition. Follow these instructions.
  • Copy the following files to the external SD card:
    • Android Lollipop system.img, boot.img, and modem.img
    • Sharpening Mod script
    • Bump’d TWRP
    • Tools for flashing the extracted .img files
  • Create a folder named “flash2″ on the internal storage on your device and copy the following files in this folder.
    • system.img
    • boot.img
    • modem.img
  • Now copy these file on the internal storage:
    • Flash2Boot.zip, Flash2Modem.zip, and Flash2System.zip
    • Bump’d TWRP
    • Sharpening Mod script

How To Root And Install TWRP:

  1. Turn off your LG G3 and boot it into TWRP Recovery. Since you got the Bump’d TWRP image copied on the device, it will boot into TWRP.
    1. Hold the Volume Down + Power buttons untill you the LG logo.
    2. Then release both the buttons for a second and then press the Volume Down + Power buttons again.
    3. You’ll see the Factory Reset screen.lg-g3-entering-recovery-mode
    4. Select Yes and your G3 will boot into TRWP mode.
  2. Now tap Install button in TWRP, navigate to Flash2System.zip and install it.
  3. Now flash Repeat for Flash2Boot.zip and Flash2Modem too.
  4. Also flash the Sharpening Mod script and select your desired sharpening level. Go through the wizard and your boot.img will be Bump’d.
  5. When you see Finished message, select Next.oversharpening-editor-lg-g3
  6. You’ll be prompted to reboot your phone. Exit the script without rebooting the device.
  7. Now go back to TWRP main menu and tap Reboot> System.
  8. TWRP screen will say that “SuperSU is not installed” and you’ll be prompted to install it.
  9. Swipe the slider on the bottom of the screen to install SuperSU.
